Why Hospitality in South Australia “Doesn’t work”! First part – Labour force

Introduction

It has been a couple of years since I have been working and living in South Australia. I am working within the business of Hospitality as a Manager, and I have 25 years of experience in the field. I am working in a café and cellar door in the countryside, where I have had the chance to deal with all problems correlated with the local industry and its stakeholders.

Hospitality in South Australia does not work!

Why and how could we fix it!?

There are three main motives for this situation:

  1. Labour force motivation
  2. Customers’ requirements
  3. Food environment

I would like to discuss with you the labour force motivation in the post below. Stay tuned for the remaining three coming, plus the conclusion and solutions.

Hunter Valley, New south Wales, Australia

Hunter Valley. Sarebbe più corretto dire Hunter river region perché la morfologia assomigliava di più alla pianura padana che non ad una delle nostre valli. La situazione è stata strana fin dall’inizio “Falsa” direi. Definita Wine country dai locali è una delle maggiori mete per un week end fuori porta dei cittadini di Sydney. Paradiso delle cantine commerciali, tutte con bellissime cellar doors, campi fioriti, ristoranti e campi da golf.

Uluru trip 2010 – Australia (ITALIAN)

Il primo giorno di libertà. Il primo passo verso la fine della mia avventura in australia. 3000 km per andare ad omaggiare il simbolo della cultura aborigena nel mondo.
